Hedge hero - your social day in the field

We want to plant new hedges on agricultural land in and around Hamburg. Experience an empowering day with your team! Renaturalize together - fresh air and knowledge gain included.
Your Tasks
We are planting a new hedge. To do this, we need to dig planting holes, prepare the bushes and water and mulch them once they are in the ground. In some places, it also needs wildlife protection, e.g. a fence. Versatile tasks that require a team of real hedge heroes. We will introduce you to the species that you plant and which animal inhabitants can find a new home in our hedge. During the course of the action day, we will give you an insight into the diverse ecosystem functions of hedges and their importance for biodiversity and climate protection.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
Our planting team will give a practical introduction and look forward to welcoming anyone who wants to try something new.
Time required
Once
On weekdays, on weekends, during the day
Depending on the hedge and team size, the job will take approx. 4-6 hours.
Important notice
Just bring a good mood and a desire to get active! Wear weatherproof clothing and sturdy shoes. We provide a sufficient amount of tools for the work.
