Your Tasks
We need to take care of our young hedges so that they can continue to grow in the best possible way. To do this, the shrubs need a training cut, the weeds need to be removed and the areas need to be freshly mulched. We will introduce you to the species you are caring for, examine the condition of the plants and find out which animal inhabitants have found a home in our hedges. Over the course of the day, we will give you an insight into the diverse ecosystem functions of hedges and their importance for biodiversity and climate protection.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
Our planting team will give a practical introduction and look forward to welcoming anyone who wants to try something new.
Time required
Once
On weekdays, on weekends, during the day
Depending on the hedge, the job will take around 3-4 hours.
Important notice
Just bring a good mood and a desire to get active! Wear weatherproof clothing and sturdy shoes. We provide a sufficient amount of tools for the work.
